service can be extended to include the implementation of
risk management and loss control programmes and can also

Engineering
Production & Management Control Systems

robotics, smart systems and artificial intelligence, together
with revisions to legislation, opens up new business challenges.
We can provide advice regarding the development, implementation
and auditing of the processes associated with conformity
assessment, CE marking and the development of associated
engineering, operation and process management and control
systems and procedures.
We have significant experience of providing practical and
theoretical advice, and guidance regarding the selection
and implementation of appropriate control strategies, including
guarding techniques, interlocking or other safety devices
and staff training needs.
Evaluation
of Machinery and Plant
Recent research has shown that more than two-thirds of industry
does not have robust procedures to ensure that their machinery
plant or equipment is compliant with the relevant implemented
European Directives.
This omission not only renders the organisation liable to
prosecution but also may result in unsafe or dangerous equipment
being at use in the workplace, with the consequential potential
for personal injury. We can provide a competent and independent
advisory and consultancy service to manufacturers, suppliers
and importers, regarding the actions required to ensure
compliance.
In addition, we can undertake a detailed machinery compliance
audit to establish the degree of compliance, and will publish
a stratified risk-based report and action plan regarding
any shortcomings identified.

Management Systems (IMS)
A consensus is forming that perceives value in the integration
of Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (QuEnSH) systems.
Within industry the commercial benefits to be gained by
the adoption of an IMS are of particular value within high
cost, high visibility industry groups.
We
have the resources and competence to develop and implement
these integrated management systems addressing the mandatory
procedures and processes in preparation for external 3rd
Party independent assessment and registration to recognised
external bodies. The standards being applied for will include,
but not be limited to:

and OHSAS 18001:1999)
